Magista Systems started out many years ago as the cabinet and archive department at Gispen, the well-known Dutch designer and furniture-maker. This department became autonomous and was taken over by a British company, which then sold its interest in Magista in 2007. In that year, Magista became part of Van Keulen Interiorbouw in Nijverdal. The takeover by Van Keulen Interieurbouw signalled the start of a new Golden Age for Magista. A Golden Age that has continued to this day.

The power of customisation

Magista was always good producing customised products for its customers. Starting in 2007, however, the company was able to use Van Keulen Interieurbouw’s extensive production facilities. That meant that Magista could manufacture customised products from almost every possible material, including wood, metal, glass, and plastic. This gave Magista Systems an enormous boost. It meant Magista could now offer 100% customised solutions for very reasonable prices. With Magista’s high-quality customised products, customers could rely on excellent solutions for all their storage problems.

Expert in storage systems

Through the years, Magista has created solutions for many different storage problems. Thanks to this wealth of experience, Magista has grown into an expert in the field of storage systems. Many of our customers have very specific storage requirements. For example, we often work for museums that keep around eighty percent of their collections in storage. It is essential that those artworks are stored under the proper climatological conditions. Magista has created appropriate solutions for the storage of paintings, banners and textiles, but also for water-based collections, rocks and organic objects.
